Summertime in Arizona is in full swing. Which means it will be at least 100 degrees every day for the next few months. Summertime here is defiantly not ideal but the rest of the year is so beautiful! We try and do our traveling in the summer because most other places have ideal weather this time of year. I defiantly much prefer a warmer/dry season than a cold/rainy/snow season.
Being born and raised in California (the best weather year round) it has defiantly taken time to adjust but I think I’m finally there. Although now with little ones in tow it should be interesting. We’re planning to be in the pool, playing in the water and finding fun indoor activities to beat the heat. What is your favorite part about summer?
Being in the water with the kids most days I have gone through several different swim ware options to find the most durable and highest quality items all while not having to compromise the kiddos looking cute. Most of the time I am a discount shopper but when it comes to items I know the kiddos will be wearing a lot and getting good use out of I don’t mind paying a little more for quality. With that being said, you can always find good deals on these items… Just depends on if the timing is right.
Whenever we are in the sun, hats are non-negotiable. There are some things I’ll flex on with my kiddos but this is not one of them. I have seen way too many people with sun damage and I think it all begins when we are young.
Girls: I love this hat! I like it because it is white so will go with most outfits, has a strap so the Little Miss can’t pull it off and it’s lightweight.
Boys: My sister got me hooked on these hats. I love them because they do well in the water and does a good job at protecting all of his face not to mention it is super cute… reminds me of my Cali roots.
I bought my first one with Riley and fell in love! I had tried several different rash guards handed down from my sister but it was always frustrating to take them off wet. I knew there had to be a better product out there.
One night my husband and I were watching Shark Tank (Any other Shark Tank lovers out there?!?!) and I saw the Swimzip. I immediately went to their website and got one for Riley. This will be our third summer with his. It was a little big at first but I just rolled up the sleeves and now it fits him perfectly…money well spent for sure!
Swim shoes are the best summer shoes…Not only for the water but every day. My little guy has sweaty feet so I try to avoid socks at all costs in the summer. I love Natives because they are easy to slip on and you don’t have to compromise fashion 😉
One of the many positives to wearing swim shoes is you can just rinse them off in the sink and they can air dry, wahoo – now that’s easy! My little guy has athlete’s foot so whenever I can take advantage of not wearing socks, I do. We don’t just wear them in the water…we wear them every day. We also have Crocs and Keens that do well in water.
I hope you have a great summer and I can’t wait to see all the fun pictures of you and your littles playing in the sun and water.
