When I think of Cinco de Mayo a few things come to mind:
- Bright Colors
- Guacamole – Check out my yummy recipe here
Here are some crafts to keep the littles busy at your fiesta, for a fun play date or just another day hanging around the house.
Cactus Hand Print Garden
How fun is this handprint art?!? As always, I love an excuse to document little hands. Once the paint dried I added the spines with a Sharpie. Here is what you will need to get started on your blooming cactus garden:
- Green, pink and orange paint
- Cute little hands and fingers
This was our first time doing a craft with tissue paper and Riley using a glue stick (I think that was his favorite part).
Here is what you will need to make your festive donkey:
- The donkey printable you can find here
- Glue Stick
- Craft glue
- Colored tissue paper
Blooming Saguaro Cactus
In Arizona, all of the Cacti are blooming right now and they are so beautiful! This project was very simple…which I like! Sometimes some free range painting is the best for a toddler, then add in a few puffballs aka blooming flowers – they are as happy as can be. You could also do different shades of green tissue for the same effect as the craft above.
- The Cactus printable you can find here
- Green paint
- Craft glue
Cheers to a margarita and happy toddlers!
Happy Cinco de Mayo
